A $70 million Abbotsford development will soon become home to The Hive, a co-working space operator which recently merged with Common Ground and The Cluster to form The Flexi Group.
Victorian developer Hirsch & Faigan secured The Hive to anchor its North Helm office building, located at 222 Hoddle Street, Abbotsford, in Melbourne’s inner east and about one kilometre north of The Hive Collingwood.
The property is the third Australian property for The Flexi Group following the aforementioned Hive Collingwood and The Cluster, in Melbourne’s CBD.
The Hive has signed a 15 year lease for 2,285 square metres of the development which has been specifically designed to deliver a flexible office environment through co-working spaces, fully customisable offices, and private terraces.
North Helm is expected to become a Five-Start Green Star rated office, comprising 7,350 square metres of net lettable area across 10 storeys.
222 Hoddle is currently under construction with the project scheduled for completion in June 2023.

The 222 Hoddle Street property was designed by Architectus, with Hirsch & Faigan delivering a brief to create a project that drew inspiration from local heritage warehouses:
