Boutique property developer Life Less Ordinary today confirmed that its plan to bring 36 luxury apartments to the centre of Gerrards Cross have taken a step forward having been approved by Buckinghamshire Council. Work, which will see the conversion and extension of existing office space, is anticipated to start early next year.
Located on Station Road just minutes from Gerrards Cross train station, Collins House is currently comprised of four ground-floor retail units and a library, with office space over two-floors above. The approved work will see the conversion of the upper office floors; construction of a side/rear extension; and the creation of an additional floor on the existing roof to deliver a mix of one- and two-bedroom apartments. Improvements will also be carried out to the exterior of the building to deliver a clean and congruous façade which respects the local architecture.
Speaking of the approved planning decision, Director of Life Less Ordinary, Hinesh Chawda said: The under-utilisation of Collins House presents an ideal opportunity to positively contribute to the housing stock in the centre of Gerrards Cross, whilst enhancing the streetscape. It’s central location nearby to a wealth of local amenities and strong transport links mean that these apartments will appeal to a wide range of purchasers and investors, not least of all those wishing to have easy access to the Capital.”
