The brokers rocketing to the top of The Real Deal’s annual ranking of top residential listing agents can credit their long-term
relationships with the developers of the multi-million dollar condos now hitting the Manhattan market. By locking in these new high-end listings, agents like Fredrik Eklund, who shot to stardom on Bravo’s reality real estate TV show “Million Dollar Listing New York,” claimed the No. 1 spot, along with partner John Gomes. Eklund and Gomes had $535.53 million in listings at the time of the survey in 2014, compared to just $92.21 million worth of exclusives the previous year, when they placed 19th. And more than half of their listing volume — $289.65 million — came from new development listings the team has been working on for several years.

On-site agents who work exclusively for a developer have not been counted. However, if an agent works for a brokerage firm, he/she has been included on this list, and new development listings were included in agents’ totals. *Steinberg and Senequier moved to Urban Compass after survey results were tallied.
