Levittown Knights of Columbus property OKd for townhouses. Here’s what they’ll sell for

The former Knights of Columbus property in Levittown is set to become the site of more than two dozen townhomes.

Middletown Township Supervisors unanimously approved plans for the Thatcher Square Townhomes at 1492 Woodbourne Road on Monday, Oct. 6. The 3.8-acre property is to become home to 34 townhouse units from North Wales homebuilder W.B. Homes.

Seven units, a total of 20%, are to be set aside for Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County members to create attainable housing for existing Bucks County workers or residents.

The rest of the townhomes are to be sold at market value, currently at approximately $575,000, compared to the “attainable” homes that Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County are to buy and sell for approximately $360,000, according to organization CEO Florence Kawoczka.

Specific mortgage rates are expected to vary based on the income of each of the homeowners, she added.

Potential homeowners for the Habitat for Humanity units are to undergo an extensive vetting process and meet various requirements, including currently living or working in Bucks County and displaying a clear financial need.

The six-building development would have a single point of access along Woodbourne Road. Each of the townhome units is to have a one-car garage and a two-car driveway.
