Husband of woman found dead in Chicago condo building sentenced to 93 days on domestic violence charges

The estranged husband of a woman found dead at the bottom of stairs in a Chicago condo building a year ago was sentenced to a little of over three months on domestic violence charges on Monday.

Caitlin Tracey was found nearly one year ago at the bottom of the stairs in her estranged husband’s condo building in Chicago.

Adam Beckerink pleaded no contest to domestic violence charges for two incidents at Tracey’s home in New Buffalo, Michigan. He also pleaded guilty to one count of contempt for violating his bond.

He was given 93-days for both counts.

Tracey’s mother, Monica, made an emotional victim impact statement in court before his sentencing.

“The defendant stalked her, brutalized her, terrorized her, physically hurt her, and pschologically isolated her from every one of her family members and friends,” she said.

No one has ever been charged in Tracey’s death.
