Multiple crews respond to townhouse fire in south Fargo | The Mighty 790 KFGO

FARGO (KFGO/KVRR) — Multiple fire department crews responded to a fire in south Fargo Monday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 4:30 p.m. at townhomes in the 3400 block of 33rd Street S., southwest of Essentia Health.

Black smoke could be seen coming from the structure for some distance. Seven units were at the scene.

A set of connected garages behind the townhomes were on fire, two units were destroyed and others were damaged.

Ryan Peterson, Fargo Fire Department, says, “We did call in a second alarm to bring in some additional crews here. There are no injuries at this time and so, right now, what they’re doing is trying to kind of get the hotspots put out. Dealing with a little bit of power to the units.”

Crews were at the scene for over two-and-a-half hours. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
