Oyo-parent Prism announced that its premium brand Sunday Hotels has entered the wildlife tourism segment. Over the next six months, Prism has plans to launch 10 Sunday properties across India’s national parks and reserves.
The company has opened its first hotel under this initiative – Sunday Hotel & Resort at Kiyari Kham near the Jim Corbett National Park. The 50-key resort also offers nature-based experiences including guided safaris, nature walks, riverside trails, and stargazing sessions.
“We are planning to add nine more properties over the next six months with focus on some of the most popular wildlife destinations such as Ranthambore, Bandhavgarh, and Kanha in the north and central regions, and Periyar, Nagarhole, and Wayanad in the south,” said Aditya Sharma, business head of Sunday. He added the Sunday Wildlife Collection will aim to empower local communities by providing employment and through artisanal partnerships.
