Aston Villa want Real Madrid attacker Endrick on loan in January, but Monchi’s recent departure may hinder any potential move, according to the BBC.
The Spaniard stepped down from his position as the president of football operations at the Villa Park club to take on an advisory role at parent company V Sports in September.

Monchi was replaced by Roberto Olabe, but his exit could now stop Villa from landing one of the attacking targets manager Unai Emery has on his wishlist for the winter transfer window.
Endrick has played just 11 minutes of football this season as he is not in the plans of Madrid manager Xabi Alonso, and a loan departure is expected in January.
It remains to be seen whether Villa will now be able to lure the 19-year-old Brazilian to the Midlands club.
Monchi has contacts in Madrid and would have been the perfect man to negotiate a deal, but other suitors are likely to pip the Villans to his services.

Villa are unlikely to give up in their potential pursuit as Olabe will be keen to prove his worth after seven years as the director of football of Real Sociedad.
The availability of European football could work in their favour as impressive performances in the Premier League and on the continent would boost his chances of returning to the national team.
Endrick has been left out of the Brazil squad for the fourth international window in a row, and he will not be going to the World Cup if he does not play regularly and perform well in the coming months.
Emery could do with such a versatile forward in his attack, and the teenage sensation will be desperate to prove himself wherever he finds himself in the second half of 2025-26.
It is unknown whether that will be at Villa following Monchi’s exit, but the club will throw their hat in the ring once it becomes clear that Endrick can leave Madrid on loan in January.
