The world’s highest duplex residence has come to market atop Central Park Tower on Manhattan’s Billionaires’ Row — the tallest mostly residential building in the world.
The 11,535-square-foot home, spanning the building’s 127th and 128th floors on West 57th Street, is seeking a stratospheric $128 million, according to Compass’s Gambino Group, which holds the listing. That mighty sum makes this nest the priciest residence currently for sale in the city, according to StreetEasy.
However, as big as the asking price is, it’s not a historic high for the Big Apple. In 2022, a penthouse in this same building listed for a breathtaking $250 million. That, after undergoing a price cut, was taken off the market.
Still, this duplex offers unobstructed views of Central Park and the Manhattan skyline — and even far into the suburbs — through floor-to-ceiling glass wrapping its main living spaces.
Designed by ROTTET Studio, the interiors emphasize scale and clarity: ceiling heights approach 15 feet, galleries are long and linear and a glass-encased staircase serves as a central architectural focal point between the two levels.
The main floor includes a series of expansive entertaining rooms, a library, and a large kitchen fitted with custom Smallbone cabinetry and book-matched marble.
The upper level is dedicated to private quarters, including a primary suite with two dressing rooms and dual oversized bathrooms positioned to capture park and skyline vistas.
Residents of Central Park Tower also have access to the Central Park Club, a multi-level amenity program totaling roughly 50,000 square feet.
The offerings include a fitness center, indoor and outdoor pools, a sports court, private dining spaces, and a restaurant and event space on the 100th floor, billed as the highest private venue of its kind in the world.
