“Beautiful house with everything you need for a perfect holiday.”
An award-winning Scottish island getaway is currently available to book for better than half price. Guests have described the accommodation as “absolutely stunning” and a “beautiful house with everything you need for a perfect holiday”.
Chandlers Seaview Cottage is located on the Isle of Bute in the Firth of Clyde, home to a population of around 6,000 people. The property is situated near the small village of Ascog, which is just a few miles out of the island’s main town of Rothesay.
At the moment, voucher website Wowcher is offering a one, two, or three-night stay at Chandlers Seaview Cottage for up to four people from £206.99. With the standard cost of a stay at the cottage being £488.50, this equates to a discount of 58 per cent.
The cottage features a king-size bed and a sofa bed, as well as an open-plan living area with Freeview TV, a fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath. Outside, there is a private garden with an enclosed sea-view patio and a private hot tub.

Also included with the Wowcher deal is a spa hamper with robes, towels, flip flops, and a grocery pack, as well as complimentary champagne and chocolates. Meanwhile, the accommodation also includes Wi-Fi, gas central heating, and private parking for two vehicles.
In terms of things to do while staying at the cottage, nearby highlights include Rothesay’s Victorian Toilets and the Maids of Bute painted rock formations. Elsewhere, other popular attractions include Mount Stuart Castle and Rothesay Castle.
Elsewhere, if Chandlers Seaview Cottage does not appeal, one of the one of the highest-rated Bute hotels on Booking.com is The Glenburn Hotel. An overnight stay for two can be booked through the website for a price of £65.
The hotel is located above its own terraced gardens, with views across Rothesay Bay to the Cowal Peninsula. Each guest room at The Glenburn features an en-suite bathroom, a digital TV, and tea and coffee-making facilities, while visitors can also enjoy food and drink at the on-site bar and restaurant.
The Glenburn Hotel has a score of 8.0 out of 10 on Booking.com after 3,833 reviews. Guests have praised the hotel’s “clean and comfortable” bedrooms and the “beautiful views of surrounding scenery”, though one criticised the furniture for being “a little care-worn and dated”.
Chandlers Seaview Cottage itself has a perfect five-out-of-five rating on Tripadvisor, and according to Wowcher has received a Tripadvisor Traveller’s Choice award. However, it currently only has two reviews on the website and some holidaymakers may prefer a catered getaway.
One review reads: “Highly recommend absolutely stunning. Such a beautiful house, I would highly recommend staying here. I have stayed twice and I will 100 per cent be back. Allie and Andrew were so accommodating, amazing weekend.”
The other states: “Chandlers is great for a group going away for the weekend beautiful views beautiful house with everything you need for a perfect holiday the facilities are first class and rooms are spotless with great detail to everything and Alison and Andrew went above and beyond for our family and friends and made my wife’s 60th birthday surprise very special.”
