Home sales and prices rising across the Inland Northwest | Spokane News


SPOKANE, Wash. – Home affordability remains a key topic as recent data reveals rising home sales and median home prices in the Inland Northwest.

According to Spokane Realtors and Coeur d’Alene Regional Realtors, the Spokane area saw a 4.9% increase in residential and condominium home sales last month compared to September of last year.

The median cost of a residential home decreased by 2.8% during the same period, dropping from just over $427,000 to $415,000.

Meanwhile, the median price of a condominium rose by 13.1%, increasing from over $220,000 to just over $249,000.

Across both categories, new listings in the Spokane area were up by 9.1%.

In Kootenai County, home sales increased by 4% last month compared to September of last year.

The median cost of a residential home in Kootenai County rose by 3% in the same period, moving from nearly $526,000 to $547,000.

However, inventory across the county saw a decrease, with listings down by 5.6%.
