Aston Villa transfer news as Yasin Ozcan is set to leave Villa Park as part of the deal that sees Tammy Abraham make an emotional return to the club
Aston Villa have reportedly reached a verbal agreement that will see Tammy Abraham return to the club, which will see Yasin Ozcan move to Besiktas.
Abraham became a fan favourite at Villa during a loan spell in the 2018/19 season, when the club were in the Championship. The striker has been linked with a move back to Villa Park over the last few windows, but it seems that the deal has now got the go-ahead.
Fabrizio Romano reports that Villa and Besiktas have reached a verbal agreement over the transfer, following a meeting in Turkey. The agreement will see Villa pay a €21 million (£18.2m) fee, plus add-ons, and will also see Ozcan move to the Turkish club.
The centre-back is currently on loan from Villa with Anderlecht and was due to return in the summer. It is not reported if the move to Besiktas will be a permanent or loan deal.
Villa have been keen to add to their attacking options in the January window, especially with the sale of Donyell Malen, who completed a move to Roma last week.

Speaking about transfers following Villa’s 1-0 Europa League win over Fenerbahce on Thursday night, Unai Emery told TNT Sports: “We have some circumstances which are not helping us, but in one week we are going to finish the transfer window and hopefully we can again get everything we need to complete the squad for the next months and the competitions we have.”
Following his loan at Villa, Abraham returned to parent club Chelsea before moving to Roma two years later. In 2024 he joined AC Milan on loan, before joining Besiktas on a loan with a view to a permanent deal in the summer.
Abraham scored 26 goals in 40 appearances for Villa during his loan spell with the club. He has continued to be a consistent scorer, netting 37 times in 120 appearances for Roma.
So far this season, he has scored 13 times in 26 appearances for Besiktas.
Villa have until 7pm on February 1 to complete any transfer dealings, with the club having just over a week of the window remaining.
