AFRY has entered into a new framework agreement with Vattenfall to provide technical consultancy services across several business areas and regions within the energy company’s operations.
The agreement gives Vattenfall access to AFRY’s expertise in multiple fields, including nuclear power, hydropower, wind power, and related areas such as lifetime extension and new-build services in nuclear energy.
“We are proud to deepen our partnership with Vattenfall through this framework agreement and look forward to supporting them with technical and commercial advice. AFRY and Vattenfall have collaborated for more than 30 years, and we are happy to continue the journey together,” said Elon Hägg, Executive Vice President and Head of Division Energy at AFRY.
The framework agreement will run for an initial three years, with the option to extend for two additional one-year periods.
Vattenfall operates one of Europe’s largest hydropower portfolios, with more than 100 plants across Sweden, Finland, and other regions. The company continues to invest in modernisation projects focused on efficiency improvements, digitalisation, and environmental sustainability, supporting its broader goal of achieving fossil-free operations within one generation.
