An entrepreneur from Hampshire has launched a new management consultancy to help founder-led companies transform into scalable assets that can operate independently.

Growth Ethos is the latest venture from Joel Dalton, who successfully scaled and, this summer, exited his own business – marketing agency Clone Media – after 15 years at the helm.

He recognised that many founders, particularly those in the £500,000 to £5m revenue bracket, are earning well but lack time and freedom, effectively owning a demanding job rather than a valuable business.

Dalton’s goal with Growth Ethos is to enable these founders to step back, reduce their workload and build a company with true market value.

“I love everything about helping businesses succeed – the problem-solving, the scaling and the challenges it brings,” he said.

“As someone who has lived this experience, I know the vital need for support at that crucial scaling stage.

“Ultimately, I want to help chief executives and founders step away from being the bottleneck.

“When you structure a business correctly, not only can you scale, but you craft the option to step back or sell.

“That liberty is what Growth Ethos is here to deliver.”

Dalton is now looking to partner with founders and leadership teams in the area, offering one-off strategy sessions, three-month growth programmes and long-term non-executive advisory roles.
