Private-markets consulting firm Cambridge Associates has dismissed 5% of its staff across business lines, according to people familiar with the matter. 

Cambridge, one of the oldest and best-known providers of investment advice to institutions including endowments, foundations, pension systems as well as family offices, has cut 70 to 80 employees across business lines, the people said. The firm has some 1,400 professionals on staff, the people said.
