The Leery home is looking for its next owner.
The Wilmington, NC home at the center of Dawson’s Creek has been listed for sale. The listing for the four bedroom, four bathroom home near Hewlett’s Creek, which sits on 1.7 acres.
The waterfront home served as the house Dawson Leery grew up in, appearing in all six seasons of the beloved show, which ran from 1998 to 2003. The 2,465 sq. ft. home is currently listed for $3,250,000.

The home has a rich history that expands beyond the series, as explained artists The Tremaine Twins, whose family has owned the home since the 19th century.
“Our #home has always remained in the family since it was built in 1880. Our Mom, Margaret was here for all of the years of the filming of #DawsonsCreek and she was dearly loved by all of the cast and crew and her love was reflected in the series. That is why her house was the true star of the wildly popular show. ⭐️” they wrote.

“All of her relatives, past and present, who have lived here have been loving families and have filled this magical house with love. The house has always been bursting with music and art too. Margaret was a wonderful musician and an accomplished artist and her children inherited her loving ways, music and art ✨,” they shared in a lengthy Instagram caption announcing the sale.
“Margaret passed away recently and we are heartbroken to leave. We hope that our home will pass on to people who will cherish it. This is a strong fortress, having been framed from massive hand hewed timbers recovered from ship wrecked vessels on the #IntracoastalWaterway close by. The house has remained safe from hurricanes and whatever nature could throw at her for nearly 150 years. She started out as a Summer home and was one of the first homes built on #HewlettsCreek; and is now the oldest home here on what we call #TheSound (Greenville Sound.).”
Earlier this year, another Wilmington property with connections to the show went to auction. Joey Potter’s house, which turns into a B&B during the show’s action, went to auction in the spring, with some very interesting terms.
The home itself was up for sale, but not the land it was set on. It was moved from one side of the property to the other years before the sale. At the time, the listing warned interested buyers, “The house MUST be moved from its current location. The land is NOT included in the sale. The winning bidder will be responsible for all costs and logistics associated with relocating the structure.”
While the winner of the auction was not announced, there are signs that Dawson’s Creek fans are being kept in mind by the lucky winning bidder. An Instagram account called joeypotterbnb — created in May 2025, just two months after the auction concluded — teases that fans will have the opportunity to stay at the Potter B&B. The account is currently private, but fans are keeping an eye out for the chance to relive some of the moments that made up their favorite series.
