A man died after a weekend fire this weekend ripped through a home in Burlington Township, officials said.
Firefighters and EMS staff responded to a house fire in the 900 block of Beverly Road at approximately 12:44 a.m. Nov. 8. A duplex residence was fully engulfed in flames when personnel arrived, according to a release from Burlington Township Police Department.
While multiple residents were reportedly inside the home when the fire started, all occupants except one were able to escape.
Officials identified the deceased as 64-year-old Kenneth Jones of Burlington Township.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the officers with the Burlington Township Police Department in cooperation with the county prosecutor’s office, township fire official and state fire marshal’s office.
The fire doesn’t appear to be suspicious, authorities said.
