
A structure fire at a duplex that was under construction in Walla Walla has caused an estimated $75,000 in damages.
The Walla Walla Fire Department and Walla Walla County Fire District 4 responded to the fire at 3:09 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, according to a news release from Walla Walla Fire Chief Eric Wood.
Upon arrival, there was light smoke showing from the front of the structure at 136 Donald St. The fire was under control by 3:27 a.m.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was accidental and was possibly caused by an electrical failure of extension cords.
