The Plymouth zoning board is deliberating a Chapter 40B proposal to build 163 condominiums on plots of land east of Route 3A. One-fourth of the units would be set aside as affordable.
The project is actually made up of two separate proposals, divided at the request of MassHousing in order to be eligible for Chapter 40B. This law allows developers with an affordable housing project to bypass some local regulations if a municipality’s overall housing stock is less than 10% affordable.
